I believe the controller was upgraded and the timer was disabled. I tested the unit to 200°C and it went up there (according to the controller).
There is a level foot that is missing and the paint is also faded a tad and there are some minor scratches.

Description:
A versatile, programmable moisture oven that provides exceptional flexibility of control for the operator. Excellenet for determining moisture content in a great variety of materials, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, minerals, food-stuffs, soil, cement, coal and coke, and more.
Once you've set experimental parameters for temperature and atmosphere, let oven heat up. Nickel-chromium elements heat oven efficiently in less than 10 minutes. A bold LED display continuously displays temperature.
There's no need to buy costly extra apparatus - built-in flow controls regulate the ASTM specified horizontal airflow produced by the integral motor blower. Air atmosphere is exchanged at a maximum rate of three times per minute (more atmosphere changes can be achieved with use of tank gas). Vent control allows adjustment of exchange rate. Or you can select atmospheres other than air that are more appropriate to your samples; gas tanks attach easily to an integral conncetor.
Model 496A also features a 2-mode proportional controller (I Believe this was Upgraded) for close temperature control. No overshoot. Just choose your temperature setting. A unique air curtain produces by the integral blower shortens recovery time, helps keep temperatures uniform.
Accomodates up to 40 samples at a time in Fisher Self-Sealing Crucibles, and up to 30 in other standard receptacles, five times the capacity of ASTM implied specifications. Plus, the Model 496A conforms closely to ASTM specifications for chamber-volume-to-sample ratio.
